MJ Airport Delivers GRF Training to UK Aerodromes

In September MJ Airport Associates Ltd delivered ‘Introduction to GRF’ virtual instructor-led training (VILT) to 65 delegates from 21 different UK aerodromes, ahead of this month’s (4 November) global implementation of ICAO’s global reporting format (GRF).

The training included background to GRF, introduction to the five key elements of GRF, familiarisation with the runway condition assessment matrix (RCAM), runway condition assessment methods and techniques and dissemination of information. All delegates received a Certificate of Achievement upon successful completion of an online knowledge exam and a copy of a simplified runway condition assessment process chart to aid personnel tasked with assessing runway surface conditions.

MJ Airport were initially approached by the Chair of the UK Airport Ops, Safety & Compliance Committee upon feedback from members.
