MJAAL Director Handed ICAO Aerodrome Operations Expert Role

Last week MJAAL’s Director, Mark Turner, was advised that following several stages of assessment he had been successful with his application to become an Aerodrome Operations Expert with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

The role will mean working freelance as part of the ICAO Implementation Package (iPACK) Aerodrome Restart Programme with ICAO’s Technical Cooperation Programme (TCP) under their Technical Cooperation Bureau (TCB), with work likely to include providing learning and support to aerodrome operators and/or Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA’s) wishing to take advantage of the ICAO’s help.

Rest assured, this will not interfere but instead will only strengthen MJAAL’s support to their clients and the business will continue to provide learning and consultancy services.

As for many, the past 10 months have been exceptionally challenging. Without taking advantage of any government support, to avoid mothballing the business, the time has been used to continue to provide learning and support to aerodrome operators, to adapt the services offered, to refresh and review learning materials, to put the business through re-accreditation and to upskill.
